MEN’S WEEKEND “AUTHENTIC MANHOOD”

MEN’S WEEKEND “AUTHENTIC MANHOOD”

WHAT? HOW? WHY?
Hello,
On February 27-28, we have a new Manhood weekend ahead of us – we are continuing the newly started 4th cycle “Man and His Work”.

WEEKEND TOPICS:
1. “COURAGE”. We will talk about the courage to implement God’s plans in our lives.
This session invites men to dare to take on what God has called them to do. Based on the story of Nehemiah, we will talk about how men can remain courageous even when they feel fear, when change is coming, or when they have to take risks. Courage is the determination to act, to create, to move forward, and to trust God, even when everything is not completely clear and understandable.
2. “ESSENTIAL PRINCIPLES.”
This is a practical, life-changing session in which we will discuss 10 biblical principles on how a man can become a reliable, responsible, and life-giving employee, leader, or family man. We will learn how to be a “life-giving” force at work—to have the right attitude, to be hardworking, to take responsibility, and to serve others.

WHY IS IT WORTH PARTICIPATING?

  • You will find purpose and direction in your work.
  • You will learn to make decisions boldly and resist fear.
  • You will receive practical advice on how to maintain your faith on a daily basis.
  • You will strengthen your identity as a man of God.
  • You will learn how to change your work culture in practical terms.

Being around other men and sharing your life, walking and supporting each other, is an essential part of the journey of manhood. Therefore, we encourage you to join existing men’s home groups or start your own group (please inform the leaders this weekend or the church administration), as well as join the WhatsApp group 300🔥 and attend church meetings on Sundays.
During the weekend, the team of ministers will serve with prayers and personal conversations related to the weekend’s themes. There will be worship and testimonies.

WATER BAPTISM

WATER BAPTISM

THE IMPORTANCE OF WATER BAPTISM
According to the Bible, Christian water baptism is an outward sign of what has happened in the believer’s life. It illustrates the believer’s identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. The Bible says: “Don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” (Rom. 6:3-4). Immersion in water during baptism symbolizes death and burial with Christ, and emergence from the water symbolizes resurrection with Christ.

TWO REQUIREMENTS FOR THOSE WHO DECIDE TO BE BAPTIZED:
1. A person must believe in Jesus Christ as their Savior.
2. They must understand the meaning of baptism.

If a person has accepted the Lord Jesus as their Savior, understands that baptism is a step of obedience and a public confession of their faith in Christ, and desires to be baptized in water, there is no reason why this believer should not be baptized. According to the Bible, baptism is important because the believer publicly declares his faith and devotion to Christ, identifying with His death, burial, and resurrection. It is a conscious and public act that testifies to a person’s choice to follow Jesus for the rest of their life and be His disciple.

We invite everyone who believes in Jesus Christ as their Savior and has not yet been baptized in water!

WHAT TO EXPECT
On Sunday at 10:00 a.m., before the general meeting, there will be a lesson entitled “What is water baptism?” during which your knowledge about baptism will be expanded and all questions related to it will be answered.
From 12:30 to 1:00 p.m., after the general meeting, there will be an immersion in a warm pool in the hall. This will be a public step in your faith, so we encourage you to invite your friends and loved ones to this part.

BRING YOUR OWN:

  • dark clothes that you will wear during the baptism. Please note that wet clothes become transparent. To avoid unexpected discomfort, we recommend wearing a double shirt and a swimsuit or long swim shorts;
  • clothes to change into after the baptism;
  • a large towel that covers the entire body;
  • rubber slippers;
  • hair dryer.

REGISTRATION
Registration is required and will take place until February 1.
To register, please fill in your details in the fields below.

NB! Please note that we do not baptize children under the age of 10 who are not consciously believing in Christ as their Savior, or pregnant women. Everyone who is baptized is fully responsible for themselves. The Lithuanian Christian Church in London is not responsible for any deterioration in your health during baptism by immersion in water.

FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH COURSE “LIVING IN THE SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH”

FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH COURSE “LIVING IN THE SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH”

The course on the fundamentals of faith, “Life in the Spirit and Truth,” will help those who are searching or have begun their journey with Jesus to understand the basic truths of Christianity. It will lay the foundations on which you can safely build your future life. God is a real, living person who invites us into fellowship based on trust in God’s word and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. During this course, we will learn to distinguish the voice of God’s Spirit from other voices. We will learn to hear God by reading His Word, praying personally, and interacting with other people. Religion often places an unbearable burden on people by telling them what they cannot do. And God simply invites us to follow Him on a journey.

CHRISTMAS SERVICE

CHRISTMAS SERVICE

“For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Iz 9, 6).

Christmas is one of the biggest annual celebrations for Christians, as it is the day we celebrate the coming of our Lord to this earth. The prophecies of the Old Testament have been fulfilled — out of His love and mercy for mankind, the Lord sent the Savior, Jesus Christ, so that everyone who believes in Him personally will not perish but have eternal life and unbroken communion with the Creator of the Universe, God the Father.

Let us celebrate the birth of the Lord together. We look forward to seeing you all on December 21 at 11:00 AM in our church.

Bring refreshments for yourself and your neighbor, and after the meeting we will all enjoy them together and celebrate the birth of the Lord.

See you there!
